Paramore & The Sounds talk about upcoming tour

• From Paramore.net:
Hey Everyone!
It’s official!  Paramore will be joining No Doubt for their 2009 Summer Tour. The tour will kick off this May in outdoor amphitheaters and arenas across the US and Canada. Tour dates and ticket information will be announced soon.
“What a dream tour! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt.” - Hayley Williams

• From The Sounds’ myspace:
Hey there everyone!  We are very happy to be able to finally tell you all that we will be going on tour with No Doubt this spring/summer in the USA starting in May. We have to jump off of a few dates in Canada and a few USA cities, as we already have festival and touring commitments back in Europe, but we will be doing most of the tour.  We are also going to hit a few cities on our own around the tour, so if we aren’t coming with No Doubt, we’ll try and get there on our own.

We don’t know when tickets will be going on sale yet, and official dates are not posted yet, but as soon as they are we will let you all know.
We cant wait to come back and play for you all, so please tell all of your friends!  More info to come, so stay tuned!!!

• From Undercover.com.au:
Remember when 5 years ago Undercover wrote that No Doubt had broken up? That led to an email from Adrian Young saying that the story was wrong and that they were only taking a break. Well, the break turned into a 5-year weekend.
Gwen Stefani produced a couple of solo albums as well as a couple of kids and her own signature perfume in that time, so it wasn’t a total loss.

The tour will be more than a nostalgia trip. New music is in the planning stages. Singer Gwen Stefani said in a statement that “The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music. It feels good to be all together again.”

Paramore, The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash are some of the already announced guest acts on the tour. Dates will be announced soon.

The last No Doubt album was ‘Rock Steady’ in 2001.
